Global Communication Strategist
Working at the intersection of culture, language, and complex systems. Pamela Mota e Cunha specializes in crisis communication, inclusive communication frameworks, and intercultural strategy, advising organizations navigating diverse populations, complex environments, and high-stakes communication challenges.
Most recently, Pamela worked with Provincial Language Services at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) to develop an Emergency Communication Outreach Framework designed to strengthen language access during public health emergencies. Building on this work, she created the Healthcare Field Guide, a practical resource for navigating language and cultural differences in healthcare settings.
Her work was described as “outstanding and a valuable tool for driving change,” making “a substantial impact” and helping to “inspire and facilitate progress.”
Her perspective is informed by an unconventional professional path—from the fashion industry in Paris to diplomatic service in Washington, DC, and public health systems in Canada—bringing together creativity, diplomacy, cultural insight, and strategic problem-solving.
Pamela has also hosted engagements involving international and cultural institutions including CARE International, Meridian International, the Smithsonian Institution, the Washington Opera, the Organization of American States, and the Inter-American Dialogue, among others.
Today, she works at both strategic and advisory levels, helping leadership navigate complexity and build communication systems that are clear, resilient, culturally responsive, and trusted.
